There's a bit of a buzz around the Jil Sander label at the moment. The label has had more comebacks than Cher, so I usually reserve judgement until I actually see it in a store. Now under the umbrella of Diesel's Only The Brave fashion conglomerate since 2021 (They usually ruin most brands FYI), this jumper was in Harvey Nichols and I liked the strict nautical feeling that makes this feel like something from the '90s and, as such, timeless.
A simple, oversized knit will bold blocks of colour, it reminds me of what Raf Simons did at Calvin Klein not so long ago and feels clean yet designed. There's a movement towards simpler and cleaner styles of fashion, so team this with a plain trousers and simple leather shoes or trainers.

I'm crazy about cactus and a sucker for a succulent. You only have to look at my super-fun plant business - Fabulous Plants - to see that. Cacti are like living sculptures and they take us to warmer climes and feel exotic especially in a cold, dark and wet UK.
Amsterdamers, Scotch & Soda, has gone all Americana, this season, taking us to the great American desert and decorating this casual trucker jacket with a plethora of cactus varieties. These embroidered motifs standout on the neutral background and will look great whether you are potting up your latest specimen or slamming tequila - another desert crop.
Wear with light wash jeans - like here - or team with sportswear and a simple T-shirt. Just don't be a prick!

'World’s best-dressed film producer' reveals secrets of the Jermyn Street shirtmakers. The mecca of fine British shirtmaking for more than a century, Jermyn Street boasts an embarrassment of past patrons, including Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, the Prince of Wales, the Beatles and on-screen hero James Bond.
Seen as a stuffy and elitist institution for many years, the advent of Instagram has thrown the doors open to the world’s finest shirtmakers as tailoring enthusiasts gather to share their passion. Whether off the peg, made to measure or fully bespoke, Jermyn Street lures a man towards a world of sartorial elegance. This is the first book to share its secrets. Unique access to many of the makers, such as Turnbull & Asser, Hilditch & Key and Budd, by author, Jonathan Sothcott. A film producer, he has produced over 30 films, working with the likes of Jason Statham, Ray Winstone, Mark Hamill and Sir Roger Moore, who introduced him to his shirtmaker some 15 years ago.

TheChicGeek says, "Most importantly, the book teaches you how to pronounce Jermyn Street properly. Once and for all, it is 'Jer-min', not 'Jer-main' or 'Jer-man'. This book is a love letter to the traditional English formal shirt and its most famous environ of London.
The traditional work shirt has taken quite a hit since the pandemic and I think many of the traditional establishments of Jermyn Street will be hoping the worst is over, those hedge fund managers get back to their offices in Mayfair and the tourists return full of their dollars to spend on quality British products.
Sothcott and I have a similar background. We're both around the same age and from the same part of South London. He talks about Allders of Croydon, which I remember well, being his introduction to the shirt and menswear. (The sub-editor should have checked the spelling of this once huge department store). He speaks about his further education in the finer things in menswear and reminds us how lucky we are to have such a unique collection of brands and makers on our doorstep. London really is the home of global menswear and Sothcott enthuses with the addiction we all experience as menswear geeks.
The book looks at the history of Jermyn Street, the types of materials and shirting options, caring for your shirts, and, most interestingly of all, a in-depth look at the most prestigious brands on the street. There is lot of detail and name dropping as he works his way around the street.
While the uniform of work is changing, this a reminder of the history, thought and skill that goes into a great British shirt and the street that put this historical and loved item of clothing on the international map."

I wonder if Adele or Lionel Ritchie uses Hello toothpaste? These are just two of the many wonderful and pointless thoughts you can have in the 2 mins it takes to brush your teeth. Containing ‘farm grown mint’ and tea tree and coconut oil, Hello's naturally whitening is said to whiten teeth naturally, helps prevent cavities and remineralises enamel.
What do they mean by farm grown mint? Hello’s mint is grown by fourth-generation farmers in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and surrounding areas, farmers they actually know. (Gabrielle and Dina). #brushhappy
TheChicGeek says, “It’s about time toothpaste had a personality. Who doesn’t love a cheerful ‘hello’ in the morning? Hello has no artificial sweeteners, no colourants, no SLS/sulfates, no peroxide and the mint taste is softer and more natural. Most importantly, it is also a fluoride toothpaste to help prevent cavities.
This feels gentle while preventive enough with plenty of natural ingredients.
Toothpaste tablets seem to have become something of a trend lately. I’m not sure why you’d choose these over traditional toothpaste, but it’s certainly better than nothing. Only thing to highlight is these are fluoride free so don't complain when your dentist bill comes in!"

The Americans call them 'sweater vests', but I prefer the British tank top. The name comes from looking like the top half of a tank suit, the one-piece bathing suits of the 1920s worn in tanks or swimming pools.
They have morphed into knitted and often patterned sleeveless jumpers which are perfect the winter to spring transition.
British fashion designer, Molly Goddard, known for her full tulle skirts in womenswear, has entered the men's market. Here is her super cute 'Lennon' men's vest. iPart of her Autumn Winter 2021 runway, it is knitted in Scotland from soft lambswool with a traditional Fair Isle pattern all over.
Looks great styled here with a kilt.

Sun, sea and style, the tropical trouser is timeless for any gentleman's holiday season. Made famous by Lillian Pulitzer Rousseau, better known as Lilly Pulitzer, an American socialite and designer, the brightly coloured and highly patterned trouser baton was picked up by Tom Ford who often produces them in his summer and loungewear collections.
It's all about confidence. Orlebar Brown has really run with the colour and print lately and the whole brand is stronger for it. These Packard trousers also come with a matching hat and neckerchief. They've styled it correctly - right - just ditch the flip-flops and add a sandal. Stick to a plain, solid top - white, blue or black linen would work and sun hat.
Just add white sand, SPF and a palm tree.

Do you know what there isn’t enough of in men’s fashion? Blue satin!
Returning after 100 years, Thomas Gainsborough’s 1770 ‘The Blue Boy’ takes pride of place at London's National Gallery. This is the first time the painting has been loaned by The Huntington in California. It is a once-in-a-century opportunity to see this iconic work in the UK.
Taking our inspiration from this fine young man, look for light silk satin pieces in sky blue shades to take you from day to night in the warmer summer months.
